Fergus completed an honours degree at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design where he studied Time Based Art and Digital Film.
On graduating Fergus was commissioned by the Oldmeldrum Community trust ‘Making Meldrum Better’ to produce and develop a local film celebrating the towns’ culture and heritage. In 2014 Fergus received a residency with the Royal Scottish Geographical Society to sail through the Scottish Hebridies.
His work has been shown at the Glasgow film theatre, Edinburgh Filmhouse and Dundee Centre for Contemporary Arts. Fergus’ work has garnered praise from Edgar Wright and the American Film Institute.
He works full time as a camera assistant in television and film, and has credits on Churchill, Outlander, Rillington Place and Shetland.
